Proud of a little guy that i met almost 3 years ago, singing that song called One Time. That boy, with flip hair, cute face, sweet voice, with 15. I am proud of a boy that is having his childhood and adolescence on media, and never had on drugs, or drunk or anything. I am proud of a guy that beats records, that won a lot of awards. Video after video, song after song, you blew me away with all the talent you had. I knew to myself that day that you were born to be somebody. I was right. You’re now one of the biggest stars on the planet. You’re a household name and you have teenage girls who love you all around the world. And here we are, today, your 18th birthday. Time flew by and right before my eyes. You went from a kid from a small town in Canada to a man taking over the world with just your voice and your moves. It’s almost unbelievable how you’ve grown in just 3 years, but you’ve still managed to stay true to yourself and your family. Please, never change who you are. Never forget the people who have been with you since day one, and who will be with you until you post your last video, do your last moves on stage, or sing your last song. I know you’re going to grow up even more; it’s a part of life. Just never forget your past or the people who made you who you are today.
